Administration tasks include day-to-day site monitoring and maintenance, infrastructure configuration, network management, system installation, tuning, system backup and restoration, application migration, Quality of Service management and security implementation.

System Administration: An administrator who is capable of the planning, installation, configuration, deployment and management of platform suite installations or applications built on BEA technologies. System administrators perform network configuration, implement physical architectures, create and implement Quality of Service parameters, and set up monitoring and management guidelines. System Administration designation proves expertise in backing up and restoring systems, performing regular application and infrastructure maintenance, and integrating infrastructure applications with Web Servers and firewalls.
